Management Team
Metara's executive team has broad-based experience in the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment industries, with a core emphasis on analytical chemistry, engineering, software management, along with sales and marketing expertise.

C. Patrick Franklin, President and Chief Executive Officer
C. Patrick Franklin has over 20 years experience as a senior executive in a variety of early-stage companies. He has held a variety of positions in these companies, including Chief Executive Officer,Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Franklin holds a BA from the University of Maryland, a JD from Hastings College of the Law, and an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Larry Stewart, Executive Vice President & CTO
Larry Stewart joined Metara in January 2001. A seasoned executive with more than 25 years in the semiconductor industry, Stewart also brings extensive engineering expertise to Metara. His responsibilities have included new product development and management, from concept through successful product delivery to leading semiconductor manufacturers and foundries in the U.S., Europe, and the Pacific Rim. Prior to joining Metara, Stewart was the founder of Theta-Eight, where he designed, manufactured, and introduced to the market a novel mini-batch double-sided substrate cleaning system. Stewart previously worked at Lam Research where he served in various senior management positions including vice president of the CVD division. Stewart holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and is a certified Professional Engineer.

Vlad Kolpakov, Chief Financial Officer
Vlad Kolpakov joined Metara in June 2002. An experienced finance executive, Kolpakov spent more than a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as a financial auditor and an analyst at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He is a chartered certified accountant and a certified financial analyst (CFA). Kolpakov holds an MBA in finance and strategy from Yale University.
